eBay will no longer allow sellers to make insurance optional. In the past, I always made insurance an option. Unfortunately, the choice eBay gives sellers now is to either insure at the sellers expense, or include the cost in the handling charge. This forces sellers to either take a loss, or to charge everyone insurance. I have chosen the latter and will now add $1.60 for insurance to the handling charge. Although this only covers values up to $50.00, I will cover the extra amount for items over $50.00. Insurance will be purchased through USPS, Auctiva or through Shipsurance, a private insurer.
