Since the early sixties, NHRA members have received a weekly newspaper, National Dragster. Dealing only with NHRA tracks and NHRA produced events, this is a true house organ. It is also a record of a big part of Drag Racing and an insight into the world of the NHRA. The following tracks
sent a race report for this issue: Caddo Mills TX Creitz Auto won overall TE, Edie Hill won AA/GD and top gas.
Madera CA, Santa Maria CA, Riverside CA low et was 9.12 from the Dragmaster twin gas car, top speed was 175.08 on fuel, Scotty Fenn had published two lists of 20 questions for Wally Parks, this issue has Wally's answer to 21-40.
Green Cove Springs FL Lewis Carden was the big winner, Hoyt Grimes ran top speed.
Motor Life magazine polled sports writers on the top auto racers. Jack Chrisman won for drag racing.
Northeast Calling column by W.E. Dismuke, Amarillo TX Lyndall White TE Edie Hill top speed & low ET.
Inyokern CA Fuel & Gas Invitational Jack Chrisman and Dragmaster are top performers, Phoenix AZ Frank Sanders won Super Stock in a 1961 Chevrolet.
Corpus Christi TX Mackey-Veselka win TE, TALL TALES from Texas column by Dale Ham, an article on drag chutes and other safety devices by Jim Deist.
Car of the week feature with photos on Bill Franklin's 1924 T roadster from CO.
Technically Speaking with Farmer column by Farmer Dismuke all about stock car classification for 1961.
Wichita Falls TX TE to a D/D, Oklahoma City, Spruce creek Fl and Pomona Ca where the Stone Woods & Cook B/GS as TE.
There are some areas worn through on the long fold. The short fold has a 2 inch edge tear on the front page. Some of the inside pages have a smaller tear in the same area.
A collectible, readable paper.

Will ship for 4.00 first class mail, securely packed in a rigid mailer. I use delivery confirmation. You can choose priority mail at 6.50 same packing. Multiple papers will be shipped with priority mail.
