SPINEL is a NATURAL Gemstone and available in an array of colors.

 

Red Spinel is the most popular, although for many years it was thought to be a variety of Ruby. A one-carat Gemstone can retail for over $1000 per carat. Spinel comes in other colors such as Blue, Pink, Purple, Orange & Black, but Red is the most valued. Pink Spinel resembles Pink Sapphire. Orange Spinel has a color range from Yellow-Orange to Red-Orange. This Spinel is sometimes called “Flame Spinel” which it was formerly called “Rubicelle”. Fine Blue Spinels are rare and can retail for over $2000.00 per carat. Blue Spinel tends to be grayish or very dark. Black Spinel is opaque and rarely seen in Jewelry. Color-Change Spinel is Rare. It is grayish-blue in daylight & Purplish under Incandescent light-blubs. The main sources of Spinels are Sri Lanka & Myanmar (Burma).
