DESCRIPTION This is a very rare / hard to find original bound volume number 171 (January-June 1953) with the original 26 issues of the science magazine Nature, A Weekly Journal Of Science, including the original first issue of the articles publishing the discovery of the helical structure ( a double helix ) of DNA, our genetic code.
The principal authors of these DNA articles were the scientists:
- Rosalind Franklin - Francis Crick - James Watson - Maurice Wilkins
Watson, Crick and Wilkins won the Nobel Prize for Medicine and Physiology in 1962 for their DNA related work, while Franklin was denied this honor (even posthumously) for unclear reasons. .
