NAVY MARK V DIVER HELMET- Morse diving dive Full size

This beautiful, full-sized, hand-finished replica Morse Mark V diver helmet has stunning brass accents and will make a perfect addition to any nautical or maritime collection. It measures approximately 17" tall, 16 3/4" long and 12" wide. This reproduction is cast from iron and has a gorgeous antiqued finish.

Dive helmets are designed to give professional divers the tools they need to work underwater. The helmets protect the diver's face from the water, provide easier ability to see, a constant surface fed air supply, communications systems, and protection when working in dangerous conditions. In 1912 the US Navy started to come up with ways to standardize their diving techniques and systems. The Mark V played a large part helping the US Navy achieve those standardizations. Though there are several manufacturers of Mark V dive helmets all of the parts are interchangeable.

This Mark V Dive Helmet would make a great display piece for any Navy collection.
