loa North Carolina Auditor Henry L. Bridges signed 3x5 note card

Card and signature are both in near-mint condition.

Bridges, a Democrat, served 34 years as auditor form 1947 to 1981. The back of the card is stamped JAN 18 1974, the date the autograph was obtained.

This 3x5 comes from a massive political autograph collection assembled in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. It contains both the well known and the seemingly unknown. From governors Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan to Supreme Court justices; from Margaret Chase Smith and Shirley Chisholm to Tip O’Neill and Sam Ervin. The collection has been authenticated by a letter from James Spence (see right), whose expertise in the field of autographs is unsurpassed. A copy of this letter will be provided to the buyer upon request.
