The pattern includes very detailed instructions and diagrams so you will be able to create this Jolly Santa, using both wet felting and needle felting. There is more wet felting used than needle felting due to the fact that he is a larger size. Wet felting is much faster for this project. Even if you've never done felting before, you should be able to create this jolly old man. If not, I would suggest doing it with a friend who may have some experience in both wet felting and needle felting. Or if you love to learn new things, go for it. The directions are very detailed with many drawings included to help you with each step. Santa is made of wool, with the exception of the inside of his body and head, which are both filled with fiberfill. I used the fiberfill to cut down on the felting time and also to make him less expensive to make. His arms and legs have a base of batting over wire. However, if you want to make him of solid wool, you will substitute the fiberfill and batting in those areas. He is very solid when she is done. Santa arms and legs can be posed so he can be placed in your favorite spot for the holidays. Here is the list of materials and supplies you will need. Most of them are available in my eBay store: "Wistyria Needle Felting". The larger amount of red wool can be purchased bulk, rather than in the 1 ounce packages.
