Some of the sewing items detailed in this beautiful book are scissors, pincushions, needle cases, needlework sets, chatelaines, bodkins, stilettos, measuring tapes, silk winders, tambour hooks and knitting accessories. Thimble collectors will also be delighted with the abundance of illustrations and types of thimbles. Especially useful is the section listing the makers of Dutch silver and gold needlework tools, with drawings of their marks to aid identification and dating.
