That means that if the product should need service within the warranty period, Nespresso will send out a a temporary replacement unit while service is being completed. This gives you a working Nespresso machine while yours is away. Here's how it works. You notice a defect within your Nespresso machine within the warranty period. You call Nespresso customer service at 800.562.1465 and report the defect. Nespresso ships out a new temporary replacement unit to your address. You ship your unit using a pre-paid label and the shipping box that Nespresso shipped the temporary replacement unit in. Once your unit is returned, you ship back the temporary replacement unit in the same box with a pre-paid shipping label. And within days you've gotten your Nespresso machine back without the hassle of not having a machine.
Returns will carry a 20% re-stocking fee and return shipping the item back will be at buyer's cost.
Shipping Damages If your purchase has been obviously damaged during shipping, you should refuse the shipment. The carrier will return the product to us and a replacement will be shipped, if available. If no replacement is available, we will issue a full refund. If shipping damage is not apparent until after the driver leaves, please contact UPS claims at 1-800-742-5877. After initiating the claim, please contact us and we will issue a replacement if available. If no replacement is available, we will issue a full refund.
