* * * * Due to recent changes in eBay policy, if a seller receives 4 STAR ratings in any of the four categories they can be suspended from eBay and lose their business and the ability to feed their families because eBay bans sellers that have a rating of 4.1 or lower so leaving a seller 4 stars means they can be suspended. The DSR rating system tells buyers that leaving a 4 star rating means they are satisfied but in reality a 4 star rating greatly harms the seller. Leaving any 4 star ratings actually means you are not satisfied with the service under the current DSR rating system.
Example: If a seller were to sell 50 products in a 30 day period and provide excellent customer service and prompt shipping to all 50 buyers and all 50 buyers left that seller 4 star ratings in all four categories believing they are helping the seller with a good rating, that seller would be suspended and lose their eBay account and business under the current rules because their average DSR rating would be a 4 star rating and anything under 4.1 stars average equals account suspension.
If a buyer rushes a neutral or negative feedback comment or low DSR ratings and then asks the seller for assistance, that feedback comment is permanent and cannot be removed even if the buyer is happy after the seller corrects the issue so please do not rush a bad feedback for any seller or it might put them right out of business. We will never give you any reason to want to leave a bad feedback.
My personal opinion as an eBay buyer, when I buy something and if there is any problem, I always email the seller and give them time to reply, then I will phone the seller if they have not replied to give them a chance to correct the issue before giving them bad feedback or a lower than 5 star DSR rating. If they do correct the issue for me, they will still earn my positive rating and 5 stars for great service and cooperation.
I am always willing to help my buyers and work with them to resolve any issue so please remember if there is ever an issue, to send me a friendly email explaining the issue and give my time to reply. I am always here to help my buyers before, during and after every transaction.
Please reward your favorite sellers with 5 star ratings unless you are truly unhappy because the seller refuses to resolve an issue for you. This is extremely important to all members because fewer sellers mean less product selection and higher prices for buyers in the long run.
I simply refuse to leave any customer dissatisfied because buyer satisfaction leads to future sales and business growth and that is how business should be conducted by all sellers. Buyers and sellers must stick together and treat each other fairly. We are all part of the friendly eBay community so please be kind to others and they will be kind to you in return.
