This exceptionally creative 32 year old, young designer explores every angle originating from her unique concept; and one which forms the basis of all her creations: the white shirt.
White, because this represents light and purity, like a breath of fresh air. Anne Fontaine has masterfully conquered the world of fashion through her famous concepts surrounding the traditional white shirt. in Brasil, where she was born, this colour is thought to bring good luck. A concept that is as original as it is simple, Anne Fontaine's white shirts are exemplified by their variations around this theme and she uses textures such as poplin cotton, <<stretch>> cotton, linen, stitched, organza appliqués and her creations are fastened with her signature buttons made from mother of pearl, little ties, flowers made from fabric, zips or belts...Now she has branched out and blessed us with colorful designs! This blouse is one of her newest creations...in classic black silk!
Anne Fontaine designs about 300 different pieces each year. Each one drawing from her original concept, femininity, elegance and flawless quality... Born to a Brazilian mother and a French father, Anne Fontaine – in my opinion – creates some of the most beautiful white shirts in the world. The classic white shirt is the equivalent of the “small black dress” which is a fashion must-have, an indispensable piece of every woman’s wardrobe. The choice of a single, luxurious product, and the cachet of “Made in France” allowed this designer to distinguish her brand and product. Anne Fontaine’s shirts, coats, and jackets are beautifully designed, feminine and sensual; they are made of pique (brushed) cotton, poplin, and organdy. Her designs have “double collars,” laces, flowers (of the same white fabric) and unique twists that other shirts do not have. Each shirt is a perfect. Unfortunately, they are a bit pricey (especially now that the dollar is so weak against the euro). Thank goodness for eBay!
