I don't want to overstate it's abilities & say it's a new high tech gadget that you have to have, because it isn't. But, I can testify to the fact it works very well as I used one with my daughter when she was a baby and later when she was a toddler!
The units were purchased at that time and have been in storage in a closet since then! They were originally Retailed for $60 and I paid around $30 each for them back when they could have been call "New Technology". Key thing is that they are NEW and work great as long as you don't insist on Video or Heart Monitoring! Great Deal, & a Limited Supply!! When my inventory is gone, that's it!
Units are NEW in box, though I did notice that the Molded Plastic Packaging has warped a bit, but DOES NOT AFFECT THE UNITS in any way. You can see some warping of the packaging in the picture of the contents.
SOME KEY POINTS

Both the Receiver and Transmitter can work with either a 9-volt battery, or can be Plugged in using the Included AC Adaptors.

When using batteries, the systems is Completely Portable! Receiver clips to your belt or goes in your pocket (even has an ear plug) & the monitor can be placed around the toddler's waist! Great for use at Playgrounds, when toddler is in the yard, for infant in crib, even in restaurants if you toddler is overactive and you are trying to eat! (Mine used to like playing with the waitress/hostesses & I could listen in with Earplug and enjoy my meal with no fear!)

System alerts you with a Alarm if toddler gets too far away (depends on battery condition, but usually about 60 feet), or if the circuit is interrupted (child's transmitter turned off or falls in water - though I never tested the water part).

Systems are Pre-Boxed, never opened except for picture, and will be slipped into Priority Mail Shipping Sleeves - they weigh about 2 pounds with packaging! These can be then taped together and shipped cheaper than individually, but can't be combined with Ty purchases without everything going into a bigger box....I can do this, just Request Total and I will try to combine and figure out a shipping charge.
