This is a book about Michael and Faith Moran, Founding Senior Ministers of Spiritual Life Center, an Interfaith Unity Church in Sacramento, California. It is also a book about how God works through each of us as we travel along life’s path.
Join Michael and Faith on their individual journeys from birth through high school and college; from Sunday school to ministry school; from temporary attachments to soul connections; and from “divine discontent” to a spiritual family already waiting for them in midtown Sacramento.
As Michael and Faith’s stories unfold, it is clear that at no time did they walk alone; God was there – sometimes in the form of mother, father, sister, brother, grandmother, grandfather, teacher, or friend; other times as a comforting, but persistent, voice inside, always there. There are no mistakes; in the worst and the best of times, everyone is our teacher as long as we are open to receive the lesson.
About the Author
Suzanne Joy-Livingston has been writing and sharing inspirational stories since childhood. As a founding member of Spiritual Life Center, Suzanne began writing motivational stories intended to inspire church members to step into the unknown – join the choir, host a reading group, do something for the first time. And so she did. This is her first book, but we are assured that it will not be her last. As Spiritual Life Center’s Volunteer Historian, Suzanne has already conducted over 60 interviews toward her next project about the first 10 years of Spiritual Life Center. A native Californian, Suzanne resides in Sacramento with her husband Jerry.
About the Artist
Brenda Boles is an award-winning California artist known for her use of luscious colors and images. Her expression of art is soulful whether she is creating spiritual, landscape, or abstract images. Brenda creates heartfelt connections with her viewers with work that feeds the soul and uplifts the spirit.
Gratitude
I am so grateful for the many lessons that I received while preparing this manuscript. I know now that I was called to write this book for those people who came after us. It’s our history, our inheritance and it also turned out to be my own divine appointment. I now know no matter how difficult the task, we have no choice but to share our unique gifts. ---
