SEPIA FILTER : Creates a warm brown tone and offers a "turn of the century" look to your image. Sepia filters do allow some unwanted colors to pass so monochromatic scenes are recommended. |
FLUORESCENT FILTER: Color correction filters that give natural color renditions with daylight film, eliminating the blue green cast ordinarily resultant from shooting color films under avg. fluorescent lighting without a flash. Useful for cityscapes at night. |
RED FILTER: especially effective for increasing contrast. Ideal for dramatic cloud effects in landscapes. Can also be applied creatively in color and infrared photography. |
GREEN FILTER: Great for correcting skin tones, bringing out facial expressions in close-ups and emphasizing the feeling of liveliness. A green filter is highly effective for indoor portraits under tungsten lighting |
YELLOW FILTER: A yellow filter is highly effective for outdoor portraits because red is rendered dark while green appear lighter. These filters are designed for use with Black & White photography. However, they can be used in color photography to produce special color effects. |
ORANGE FILTER: Increases contrast between reds and yellows. Particularly useful for distant outdoor shots taken with a telephoto lens. Also useful in color photography for spectacular sunsets, seascapes, etc. These filters are primarily designed for use with Black & White photography. However, they can be used in color photography to produce special color effects. |
BLUE FILTER: This set of three strongly colored filters in Moonlight Blue, Vivid Pink and Deep Mauve can be used to give a single color effect over the whole of a picture. Used in daylight, the Moonlight Blue filter gives the effect of a night time, moonlit scene whilst the other two filters allow graphic and unusual images to be produced for special impact. |
DIFFUSER FILTER : This filter reduces contrast and as such can be used for taking picture with variable soft effects. As the filters soften the skin-texture, the portraits of ladies can be made very charming. Effects strongest with 50-100 mm or bigger focal length lenses at larger apertures. |
DUTO DIFFUSER FILTER : Filters have fine concentric lines etched on the surface; the center is usually sharp, effective in portrait photography |
SOFTEN DIFFUSER FILTER : Randomly arranged minute lens, on the surface of the acrylic filter. Creates a picture with a clear focus and soft gradation. Softens can be used together to increase the soft effect. |
SPECIAL SOFTEN DIFFUSER FILTER 3 : Used in portraits to retain overall image clarity while softening unwanted details. Will tone down wrinkles and skin blemishes, while leaving the eyes appearing sharp. |
NEUTRAL DENSITY FILTER: Neutral density filters are used to restrict the amount of light passing through them into the lens, they are used to allow wider apertures or slower shutter speeds to be used. |
LINEAR POLARIZER FILTER : Polarizer is used to reduce or remove reflections. Linear Polarizer Filter suppresses unwanted light reflection such as on the glass and on the water. The Polarizer can be rotated to determine the amount of reflection to be removed. |
RAINBOW FILTER : The RAINBOW CIRCLE generates rainbow beams in a certain direction from light sources. It appears something like shower of rainbow. Made of glass, and provided with rotating frames, this filter consists of 1,270 ultra-fine parallel grooves per inch on the filter's surface. Almost like a Cross Screen, it picks up and diffracts each tiny point of light into a rainbow of color. |
VERI CROSS FILTER : This is the rotating star filter. The filter can be rotated to create the perfect star |
CLOSE UP +1 : Cameras fitted with normal lenses do not permit us to move closer than a certain minimum distance from the object being photographed. The Close-Up lens, which is simply mounted in the front of our normal taking lens, permits the taking of close-ups and also makes possible the photography of details which would be quite impossible without the Close-Up lens. |
CLOSE UP +2 : The easy to use solution for getting extra close. These lenses enable you to get much closer than the minimum focus of the standard camera lens - as close as 4 inches from the subject. Ideal for cataloging small items and focusing on details. |
CLOSE UP +4 : Close up helps you go closer to a subject and help you to enlarge a particular portion from a group photograph. Because of short distance , depth -of- field being shallow, use of smallest lens stop is recommended. |
CLOSE UP Macro +10 : This Macro lens has the biggest magnification. It is used to capture the small things. |
CENTER IMAGE SAND FILTER : It produces crisp, clear, sharp image in the center, surrounded by smoky screen, gradually fading towards edges. |
CENTER IMAGE SOFT FILTER : Around a sharp-focused center the surrounding area shades of the focus. So clear central portion is surrounded by imaginative, dreamy, multicolored and balloon studded environment. |
TWO FIELD : The two field lens is used for that special shot where two subjects one "distant" and the other "closer", both need sharp focusing within the same picture frame. The attachment mounted in rotating rings helps to get a sharp and magnified foreground while maintaining the background in focus. |
5 IMAGE FILTER : Effect is strongest with a dark background and at large aperture. The rotating ring helps proper subject composition. This attachment contains a square prism in the center of the attachment surface and four prisms in the outer area. It produces five images surrounded by four identical images which may be moved around the periphery by turning the rotating mount. |
3 IMAGE FILTER : It produces one images surrounded by two identical images. Effect is strongest with a dark background and at large aperture. It produces three images and it has a rotating ring to help proper subject composition. |
DOUBLE EXPOSER FILTER : with this attachment you can capture two different snaps side by side, in required composition. The aperture can be used with wide-angle lenses and with telephoto lenses. The lighting must be same for both the exposure and the camera must be mounted on a tripod.
With Filter - one side With Filter - other side Both sides merged |
SAFETY FILTER : Uncovered camera lens has to be cleaned again and again. Its coating is wiped off, polish diminishes & lens becomes soft and blurred. Safety Filter protects your camera's lens from scratches, dust, dirt, moisture and fingerprints. Leave it on your lens at all times. |
UV FILTER : UV filters are used for general photography to reduce haziness or fogginess created by ultraviolet light. The UV filter absorbs ultraviolet rays without changing the exposure. |
SKYLIGHT FILTER : By absorbing ultraviolet radiation, a skylight filter adds warmth to a scene recorded on a color photo. It does this by reducing the bluish cast prevalent in distant scenes and in scenes photographed on heavily overcast days or in open shade. A skylight filter is used primarily in daylight. A skylight filter is light pink in color. |

CompactFlash card slot. |

Easy-to-navigate menus. | For starters, the Rebel XT delivers 3,456 x 2,304-pixel images for images of 13x19 inches and larger. The camera features variable ISO -- 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1,600 settings -- and supports all Canon EOS series lenses. An optical viewfinder provides detailed information such as diopter adjustment and depth-of-field preview, while the 1.8-inch TFT LCD view finder offers a wealth of additional information as well as several playback features, including thumbnail view and zooming to 10x magnification. Backlit with five level settings for brightness, the viewfinder is easy to read in dark environments.
While the Rebel XT is compatible with all Canon lenses in the EF lineup -- ranging from ultra-wide-angle to super-telephoto lenses --, the camera includes the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. This 18-55mm is a standard zoom designed exclusively for the Digital Rebel and features optimized coating to minimize ghost images and flare.
If action photography is your specialty, the Rebel XT offers a continuous shooting mode that captures as many as 14 images as fast as three frames per second (with shutter speeds of 1/250 second or faster.) The camera offers a shutter speed range from 1/4,000 to 30 seconds, and a bulb x-sync at 1/200 seconds. Best of all, it features an ultra-fast 0.2 seconds startup time, a shutter release lag of 100 milliseconds, and viewfinder blackout time of 175 milliseconds -- all of which means that you'll always be on top of the action.
Despite its wealth of advanced features, the Rebel XT is also one of the easiest, and most user-friendly digital SLRs you'll find anywhere. Its compact design -- 4.98 x 3.71 x 2.63 inches (W x H x D) -- and weight (less than two pounds) means that the camera body will fit snugly in your hands. The EOS Digital Rebel XT has a newly developed high-precision seven-point autofocus (AF) system for speedy and accurate focusing in any situation. You can easily choose your own point of focus or direct the camera to choose it automatically. You can even use predictive AF to ensure that moving subjects stay focused while you compose your shot. With a built-in dioptric adjustment mechanism and a new precision matte screen, achieving sharp focus is fast and easy with the Rebel XT, no matter where or when you're taking pictures.
A number of additional automatic setting and shooting modes -- including Portrait, Landscape, Close-up, Sports, Night Portrait, and Flash Off -- allows you to concentrate on your subject and leave the camera to sort out the details. A redeye reduction via a built-in illuminator keeps your face shots on track, and USB 2.0 connectivity for both PC and Macintosh lets you upload your images with ease and without the need for additional software. The camera also supports direct printing with PictBridge compatible printers. In short, the Rebel XT is the ideal digital SLR choice for both the serious photographer who demands the ultimate in high-quality features, as well as the weekend picture taker who demands the ultimate in affordability and convenience.
