About the Halo 3 Timer
Made by Halo 3 Players for Halo 3 players. The Halo 3 Timer gives you visual and audible notice of weapon and power up spawn times. The timer covers every MLG v4 Map and all of the most common matchmaking maps, including Hard Core. It also allows you to use Custom Times for home made maps or less common matchmaking maps that aren't included. This way you are covered no matter what. It includes many helpful features to help make spawn times their most accurate; including the 'Away from Console Delay', 'First Power Up Delay', Respawn Hotkeys, and more.Quality Audio
The Halo 3 Timer comes with fluid audio generated by a real person - NOT a computer. Each audible que gives you one of three intervals for the weapons and power ups being timed.- "30 Seconds to XXXXX"
- "10 Seconds to XXXXX"
- "XXXXX Spawn"
Priorities are as follows: Weapon 1 > Weapon 2 > Camo > Overshield. Audible ques are very short (all less than 2 seconds), so overlapping is infrequent.
Formats Supported
- MLG v3 / v4
- Xbox Live Matchmaking*
- Custom Times - you set the times and weapons for any map.

Weapons and Power Ups
The Halo 3 Timer automatically chooses the two most important weapons on a given map. If present, it will also provide spawn times for Active Camo and Overshield. Weapons, such as the Maulers on Contruct (30 seconds), that spawn often are omitted.

Special Features
- Away from Console Delay If the computer you have the timer installed on is not close enough to your Xbox 360 Console, turn on this feature and click 'Start Game' when the pregame countdown is at 3 seconds. If this feature is turned off, click 'Start Game' right when the game starts (map first visible).
- First Power Up Delay This is an especially important feature that takes Static Spawns (any non-drop-spawn) into consideration. It delays the timer of all Static Spawn items on a given map by 10 seconds in the beginning of the game. Since the in-game timer does not restart on Static Spawn items until they have been picked up, the spawn time for the item's second spawn (and those thereafter assuming you pick them up immediately) will be much more accurate throughout the game.
- Respawn Hotkeys Home Row (ASDF) Hotkeys allow you to quickly and easily reset times for any of the 4 timers. These are extremely useful for Matchmaking games since all weapons and power ups are set to Static Spawn. You can also click the reset buttons if you prefer.
- Adjustable Color Scheme Like a brighter background, stick with the classic white. Or if you prefer it a little darker, go with black. Just click Options, 'Toggle Color Scheme' and you're done.
For instance, if it takes you 10 seconds from game start to get to the Overshield on The Pit and you pick it up immediately after it spawns the rest of the game, the timer will be exact without ever having to use a Respawn Hotkey.
STATIC SPAWNS vs DROP SPAWNS
The most important thing to remember in regards to how the Halo 3 Timer works is the difference between Static Spawns and Drop Spawns.Static Spawn: A spawn in which a weapon or power up is set to respawn a given amount of time after it been PICKED UP. For example, if you pick up a 120 second Overshield at 10:30, it will respawn at 8:30. If you picked up the same overshield up at 10:15 instead, it would spawn at 8:15. As you begin to time better and better, you will get to the point where you will be standing where the next power up spawns, and there will be no need to reset the respawn timer. As you start though, you will want to use the reset hotkeys to keep your timer as accurate as possible. Note: Static Spawns (especially weapons) sometimes differ by 2 or 3 seconds for unknown reasons.
All Matchmaking spawns are static spawns. So until you get the hang of standing on top of where the item is going to spawn, be sure to use the hot keys to keep accurate times.
Drop Spawn: A spawn in which a weapon or power up is set to respawn after a given amount of GAME TIME has passed. For example, in a 15 minute game, a 184 second rocket should spawn at aproximately 11:56, 8:52, 5:48, and 2:44. This may change if the rocket is gathered in mid-air as it spawns. Drop spawn weapons will also disappear if not picked up 1 minute after spawning.
