Battery powered dehorner works fast and efficiently, because it is used on newborn calves before the horn erupts through the skin. The extreme cutting temperature of the wire ring tip cauterizes the veins, cutting off blood flow to the horn tissue, resulting in 100% effectiveness in arresting horn growth. For use on calves as young as 1 day old and up to 3 wks old. Charge battery for at least 16 hourse before 1st use. constant storage in 110V charger (included). Also includes 12V adaptor/charger. Full charge allows dehorning up to 15 calves. The HornStop batteries need to be discharged as deeply as possible before recharging.  High quality NiCad batteries are rated to take over 1,000 charging cycles. 1 year limited warranty,
