New and Unsmoked with Sock and Box. Jirsa Selection Grade Horn. Selection Grade pipes from Jirsa use a higher quality grade of briar than the standard pipes. Some nice Birdseye on this one! Passes a cleaner with ease. Pipe measures about 6 1/4 in. long with a bowl height of 1 7/8 in. Tobacco chamber measures 7/8 in. by 7/8 in. and 1 1/2 in. deep. This pipe weighs 55 grams. Oldrich Jirsa has a certain “feeling” about pipes as can be heard in the following statement from him----

 

A pipe. What would you say - a device for smoking tobacco, a beautiful piece in your collection, or the personification of rest and peace? A ritual, a ceremony, or something that provokes desire? Pipe-smokers could imagine all of this - and much more.

 

Jirsa Pipes are made at the Jirsa Factory in the Czech Republic. Their pipes offer an outstanding value for the money. While most are machine made the workers do an outstanding job. Most of the pipes are very light in weight due to using only well aged briar and most will pass the cleaner test well.  Occasionally when time permits Master Carver Jirsa will turn out a handmade pipe. He only produces about 100 handmade pipes per year.

All returns must be pre authorized.  Please email us if after you receive an item, you have any concerns.  Return must be in original condition and in the case of pipes, they must be unsmoked!  Refund will be minus shipping and insurance costs.
