The face is segregated into two subtle yet refined patterns; each able to distract your eyes for at least a brief moment. Once your eyes adjust, however, you catch the upper arch and the red-ripped hand that gradually travels from left to right while it measures the current date of the month. Below is a subsidiary dial which controls the day of the week with one hand while the sweeping hand above it gently ticks away every 60 seconds. The polished bezel that surrounds this extraordinary dial is enhanced even more by the handsome stainless steel bracelet that runs all the way down to the tough folding buckle underneath.

At his own cost, and with tools he provided himself, Bolle would excel in a place described as a mechanical workshop, a place whose door he had run past without a thought hundreds of times as a boy, the interior of which was described as a ¿laboratory of experimental physics¿ where he worked as a young man.
