Designed for alpine mountaineering, traditional rock, ice/mixed climbing, the Mammut Genesis 8.5mm Half Rope incorporates a high proportion of sheath to give extreme durability, abrasion resistant's, high safety reserves. Super Dry sheath/core repels water and dirt, increasing the rope's life. This double rope offers excellent handling characteristics, giving your climbing system added strength and versatility. Be safe, not intended for use as a single rope.  Made in Switzerland

With a diameter of just 8.5 mm, this 60-meter "half" (or double) rope must always be used in pairs. The ropes are clipped into protection alternately, which greatly reduces rope drag over rock obstructions.

COLORS: This rope is available in 2 different colors: Blue (really yellow and blue) and Red (really mostly orange) You are bidding on ONE "Blue" rope.

NOTE: You are bidding on ONE rope. To complete your 2-rope system you will need to purchase a second matching rope.  Each rope is sold separately. (I do have a few more of these ropes in both colors and will be putting more up for auction.)
