NEW NORDICTRACK CLASSIC PRO SKIER NTXC MODEL W/UPGRADES

This is a BRAND NEW model NTXC8018 NordicTrack Classic Pro skier; the exact same skier NordicTrack sales for $699 but this skier does not come with the workout monitor.  This is the perfect skier for those users who do not want to pay extra for a monitor.  You can use the skier without the monitor, or you can purchase a workout monitor at a later time.  Since this skier is compatible with all prevoius wooden based NordicTrack skier monitors, you can use one from a older skier or purchase a less expensive monitor from my store.  I unpackage and carefully inspected every skier I sell and upgrade key componenets so your skier will be assembled and will operate as NordicTrack intended (no one else selling these new skiers does this-see discussion below).  

I receive many questions from buyers asking the difference between the original NordicTrack skiers and these new Classic Pro skiers, particularly from buyers who have heard that the quality is not the same.  These new Classic Pro skiers have all the same features as the original pre-1999 NordicTrack Pro skiers, including adjustable front legs, but are more comparable in terms of materials, to the original, pre-1999 NordicTrack Sequoia skiers.  Judging from the many skiers I have sold, the biggest difference I see is in the quality of assembly.  Many of the machines I receive from NordicTrack are not assembled correctly.  Sometime bolts are not tightened, or brackets are put on incorrectly, or moving parts are not aligned or adjusted correctly.  These are typically small issues, but they can have very frustrating results to the purchaser who is not familiar with these machines and is probably the main reason these new skiers have received the reputation they have.  Also, three of the most importance components, the leg resistance strap and the upper arm leather arm resistance rope and pad were changed from their original pre-1999 design and replaced with thinner materials that, based on my experience, wear out quickly during normal use. 

However, I open and unpack every ski machine I sell and carefully inspect each skier.  I make sure that the skiers are correctly assembled and I adjust all moving parts so they operate correctly when they leave my shop.  I upgrade the leg resistance spring and strap and the the upper arm resistance leather pad w/brackets & rope with new original Pre-1999 NordicTrack parts; those of you who have had one of the original wooden style skiers, know that these original parts last a long time.
