Our new organic mattress will replace that 1" foam/vinyl outer that probably came with their Amby Baby Hammock. It's a simple style with organic latex rubber completely protected by certified organic felted wool. The wool and rubber are both naturally resistant to dust mites, flame, and bacteria making this the safest choice.
About 1.3" thick. Several pounds of organic dunlop latex and organic felted wool! BEST quality!
No need for separate puddle pad, it's already there. Easy to care for. Clean with gentle soap and water if soiled with anything other than urine. Otherwise just air dry and bacteria will die within an hour!

2) Our truly ORGANIC latex is CHEMICAL FREE! Don't let the words confuse you: "latex mattress," "natural rubber mattress," and "natural mattress" can all be used to describe products that are far from all-natural. Most so-called "natural rubber" mattresses are actually a blend of natural rubber and synthetic latex (styrene-butadiene rubber, or "SBR"), which can offgas unhealthful fumes. In fact, the latex for mattresses made by THE leading latex manufacturer contains some chemicals. Some "organic" latex mattresses have 30% benzene, which has been linked to leukemia.
3) Sleeping on organic wool has been scientifically proven to regulate body temperature and heartbeat - great for SIDS prevention and also for just providing baby with a comfortable night's sleep! 4) The organic felted wool outer is naturally dust mite resistant, and a natural flame retardent. The organic wool is used instead of BORIC ACID and PDBE's (polybrominated diphenyl ethers) found in conventional mattresses and pads. PBDEs and boric acid are used in conventional mattresses as a flame retardants. Animal studies show that PBDE’s cause liver, thyroid, and neurological damage in lab rats. Health experts worry about most PBDE’s potential harm to fetuses and children under 6, but studies on human toxicity have only just begun. They are believed to be so toxic that Europe is phasing out the use of them completely! Boric acid: this chemical is also quite toxic, and is in fact used as a roach killer. The Environmental Protection Agency and Center for Disease Control warn of reproductive, developmental, and neurological damage. It has many known health risks just due to inhalation, a few of which are: inflammation of the upper respiratory tract (including asthma, dry throat and cough), eye irritation, and reproductive damage in boys/men (including low sperm count).
WHAT IS ORGANIC LATEX?
Truly natural/organic latex rubber is harvested by tapping the milk (sap) of Hevea brasiliensis (the common rubber tree), which grows within 10 degrees of the equator. The rubber tree sap is whipped up and turned into latex foam. This is truly a sustainable resource because sap can be collected from the trees up to 180 days per year and the tree heals within an hour.

Combined Shipping:
When possible, Zoo Avenue combines shipping for items won and paid for together within 7 days of your original purchase. There is no need to email us to advise us that you are bidding on other items. Once you use our checkout process to pay, your order is automatically delivered to our shipping department for processing, and combined shipping rates on additional items will not apply.
