QUALITY

HOW TO MAKE A FLAG POLE TO USE WITH BRASS GROMMETS style Flags -   You can go to any hardware store - big or little and get the appropriate sized PVC pole to accommodate your new flag.  If you need help, ask a sales person for the length needed - usually 7 to 12 feet depending on how you want to fly it. 

Next you will need someone to drill an upper hole For a 7 foot pole you would drill about 2 feet down from the top of the pole and a low hole about 2 feet up from the bottom of the pole.  For a longer pole  you really want to drill where the flag can be centered on the pole.  Drill the size of a looped shower curtain hanger.  Now, paint the pole the color you would like it.  Most people paint it silver to look like a real pole from a distance.  You are essentially painting on plastic so be sure you get the proper paint for it.

After your poles paint drys,  snag two curtain round hangers from your bathroom or a yard sale or thrift store, place in the pole holes you had drilled - put your flag on them and snap or push (depending on type) close.  Do not use the kind that does not make a complete circle or you will be picking up your flag out of the neighbors yard and beyond on windy days - most ideal flag flying weather.

Go to a store and buy a flag pole holder (cheapest is wal - Mart) or drill a hole in your porch or other object and place pole end securely in it.
