This is quickly becoming one of our most popular products. Originally we planned on only marketing these to those in the southeast, for use during hurricanes. Since we have gotten them in stock however, we have realized that there are many more uses for them!

The reason these air coolers are so great for hurricane relief is they only require 75 watts of power to operate. Most small air conditioners require 2000-3000 watts of power, thus needing their own generator just to operate it. Our air cooler requires only 75 watts of power, about the same amount of power as needed to power a light bulb. When power is lost, most people think if they have a generator they are good to go, however most forget how hot a house can get without air conditioning. This air cooler will cool a standard bedroom sized room (roughly 100sqf) by a few degrees, depending on the current temperature in the room. This is not an air conditioner, however, it is an air cooler. If you are in a very hot room, it will create a cool breeze that will cool you down by a few degrees. We use one of these in each office in our building during the summer. It just plugs into a standard 110v outlet. Just add water to it and enjoy the cooling!

These air coolers are also excellent additions to any house or office. Over the last few months we have received feedback from our customers about where they are using their air coolers. The most popular response thus far has been in an outside covered patio / porch. Many have also stated that they are using them in rooms that generally get hotter than the rest of their house, and instead of turning on the air conditioning, they save money by just using the air cooler. These are also very small and portable and are great for use on a boat or rv.
