Please be aware that there are look-alike cheap imports on eBay under phony model numbers, fake untraceable company names, bogus references, dead links, and fussy pictures with no details. They make all kinds of bogus claims but those are jerrybuilt imports with tac welded internal parts and poisoning lead paints. Some of them works well for few weeks but will not last long. They have exposed blade knife edges even in the lock up position. They may cause injuries to users!

QCM-1200E Commercial Desktop Stack Paper Cutter is a precise, durable, and portable desktop stack paper cutter. The machine is equipped with a hardened steel blade assembly that cuts up to 280 sheets of copy paper with a single easy strike. It has been tested with 300+ sheets with beautiful cuts. The machine has an adjustable, locking backstop and a positive paper clamp to lock-down paper stacks for precise cuts. QCM-1200E has a safety latch that automatically locks the cutting blade until release. With a rugged all-steel base, a solid steel side gauge, a solid aluminum alloy clamp wheel, and a precise backstop that is machined out of a solid aluminum alloy block with a solid brass lock knob, the machine is designed to last. The machine cuts and trims any types of books, card stock, copier, printing, photo papers, leather materials, and fabrics. QCM-1200E is ideal for schools, churches, print shops, photo shops, and business offices. 

Make sure the machine has a blade that has an engraved QCM logo on the back. All QCM blade are made of highest grade tool steel and honed to a precision edge. Don't be fooled by copy cats claim to have a blade hardness of 62 HRC. the same as that of the Martin Yale's. As a matter of fact, Martin Yale blade edge hardness is 55-58 HRC! 

QCM-1200E has a very unique mechanism that enables the blade to tilt and then slice into the paper stack to ease the cutting that makes it feel like "cuts (a stack of paper) better than a hot knife through butter". Besides, the blade can also be precisely adjusted to accommodate ever slight loss of height due to re-sharpening from zero to over 1/4 inches. Those are jerrybuilt imports sold on eBay only! They may work for a few weeks but will not last long. They claim to be "All Metal Construction Designed for Heavy-Duty Commercial Applications", but with tac welded internal parts and thin metal sheets that "deform slightly due to environment changes" with poisoning lead paints and may cause injuries to users.

Make sure you have local dealers for parts and services, not those dangerous cheap imports under a ghost entity claim to be in the business "for over a half century" but resides in "mailbox suites" in a desert land.

Check with what our customer who previously bought the look alike cutters from other eBay sellers under bogus brand and model names had to say: "It cuts ok for the first couple of weeks. But when I really need it, it falls apart. Careful examination shows that the internal parts are rusting. The featured gear driven backstop and the gear did not mesh with the gear track. The paper clamp could move towards or away from the blade so you could never tell if the blade would cut against the clamp or 1/4 inch away from it. Q: What are the advantages of QCM cutters as opposed to the other cutters on eBay?
