Limited Edition of just 1,973 pieces.

Ever since the 1930s Rupert Bear was illustrated on the cover of his

famous annuals with a brown face. In 1973 this tradition was broken when the illustration was amended by the publisher to a white-faced bear.

Just a very small number of the 1973 annual were printed with the brown face, as was the illustrators intention. Today this edition has become most treasured and highly sought by Rupert's loyal collectors.

 

 Steiff are proud to introduce the brown alpaca Rupert Bear as a tribute to this very special book.

 

Rupert is made of high-quality brown alpaca, fully jointed and is wearing a scarf,

red jumper, yellow trousers and boots.

 

Exclusive to the UK and Ireland.

 

Height 28cm  (11 inch) approx. 

 

Presented in a Steiff Box with a certificate of authenticity and gold-plated

"Button in the Ear".
