NEW 2008/2009 VOLKL GRIZZLY SKIS IN 170CM WITH MARKER IPT WIDE RIDE 12 SKI BINDINGS. Says Volkl - "Featuring Motion iPT Wide Ride and Power Switch technology, the Grizzly exemplifies all of Völkl's technicall wizardry. Thanks to the Motion iPT Wide Ride and a shape of 131-89-114mm, the Grizzly is wide enough to float through powder and beat up the crud, yet carve on hard, groomed snow with ease."

Bindings will require a 'readjustment' for your boots and skier stats, but we'll ship with bindings on the skis. In the 170cm the radius is 17m with dimensions of 131-89-114mm. Bindings have a DIN range of 4-12. SR is $1525. Only size left here is the 170.

On the Wide Ride system - IPT Wide Ride improves performance in three key ways.

The Wide Ride interface is 30% wider than the original iPT. It was developed specifically for skis 80mm and wider.

The toe and heel pieces for the Wide Ride system are the same design as those of the Marker Duke and Jester freeride bindings. The new components contribute to better performance with a more secure wrap on the boot lug, and increased directional elasticity in the heel.

Lighter weight, shorter connection to the ski. Both the new toe and heel components are extremely light, allowing the skier to have a very wide ski that is as easy to handle and maneuverable as a narrower system. This is also aided by the short overall length of the system.
