HERE IS A DESCRIPTION OF WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THIS COIN COLLECTION- - - -
Okay, here is what is in this nice COLLECTOR/INVESTOR group of coins:
To start off, you get four different dollar coins:
1. A GEM GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED JOHN ADAMS GOLDEN DOLLAR:
2. A GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED Susan B. Anthony Dollar from the time period of 1979-1981:
3. A GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED Sacagawea Golden Dollar from the time period of 1999- 2007
4. This design is truly unique!! a JAMES MONROE Golden Dollar!! This is the first design in a series... so it is in high demand already...... This group has one of them in top condition...GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED.....
5. An old Stock or bond Certificate... these are highly collectible and prized...
6. - 10. The next five items are GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED.... KENNEDY HALF DOLLARS.
Here are some of the examples from this important collection:
11. A collection of about 100 all-different stamps... old and new:
12. - 15.
The next FOUR COINS ARE GEM BRILLIANT PROOF DEEP CAMEO KENNEDY HALF DOLLARS ...... This dealer took his time to locate very nice pieces. With the mass production of coins as it is, almost nothing survives in top condition anymore, even coming directly from the mint!! You will be impressed with these coins' luster and strikes!!
16.
The next coin is the only quarter in this group..... but it is a spectacular coin..... a GEM BRILLIANT PROOF 1976-S Bicentenial Quarter Dollar. It has the S-mint mark on the front.
17. The next coin is truly amazing...I have studied this coin for about an hour... ... a GEORGE WASHINGTON Golden Dollar from the Presidential Dollar Series. This is obviously the first coin in that series, Washington being the first President. I have studied this coin and the piece is truly exceptional.
18. Stamp collectors really prize what is known as a First Day Issue Cover. One is included in this large group. When the post office issues a new stamp, if one is used on the first day of issue, it gets a special cancel etc. Obviously, not many are ever made, and they are highly collectible.....'
19. The next coin is a dazzling 1981-S or 1979-S Proof Kennedy Half Dollar.....both sides are cameo. This coin obviously came out of a very impressive proof set.... probably one of the first strikes for this die.
20. Here we have a similar coin to the one above, only this one is dated 2005-S San Francisco GEM BRILLIANT PROOF. Exactly the same condition as the coin above. A matched set for a perfect collections of Kennedy's:
21. This next item in this large group is a 1979-P or 1979-D GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED Susan B. Anthony Dollar coin. This coin is from the Philadelphia Mint, and it is the first year of issue for the Susan B. Anthony dollars.
22. Here is an old bill called a Silver Certificate. The U.S. government would guarantee $1.00 in silver coinage when this bill was redeemed. A highly sought after item!!
23. Here is an old-style box with a few baseball cards inside.....
24. Here is another very interesting collectible...... ten (10) mixed official U.S. Mint coins still in the celophane wrapping from the year of issue. These coins have never been touched by human hands..... escept maybe at the mint.....
25. Now for something EVEN MORE spectacular...!!! The next coin in this group is a 1980 GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED Susan B. Anthony dollar. This coin is the Mint State example, and in top conditions they are worth a lot more than the proof, as the mint coins were just dumped into bags and shipped all over the country. Not many of them survived in top condition. A true find!! You receive P mint, a D mint or an S mint Uncirculated example.
26. Here is a very nice 1977-P Kennedy Half Dollar... it is graded GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED. The coins from the middle to late 1970's are notoriously badly struck and made. This was the period of the first OPEC embargo and the general energy crisis.... so the mint was trying to save money on striking coins by not pressing them very hard when struck!!! BUT WAIT --- this one is fully struck.... almost a miracle....
27. The same goes for this 1976-P or 1976-D GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED GEM FULLY STRUCK Kennedy Half Dollar.... the dealer really specialized in unheard of quality coins... You will receive one of either the 76-P or the 76-D coins.
28. Here we have a nice commemorative coin from the U.S. BICENTENNIAL celebration in 1976. It is the PROOF half dollar. They were only put into proof sets. This one obviously was pulled out of a set because of its extroardinary condition. It is graded GEM BRILLIANT PROOF CAMEO. The frostiness of the designs (devices) is very nice.
29. Here we have the only quarter in this group..... it is a 1971-S GEM BRILLIANT PROOF or a 1972-S GEM BRILLIANT PROOF Washington Quarter.
30. In 2005, THE U.S. Mint made for the first time in over 67 years a BUFFALO NICKEL. It was last made in 1938... but they came out with one in the year 2005. It has quickly become a highly prized and sought-after collector's piece... here is one in perfect condition GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED.
31. Here is something really old.... and could easily fit into any museum display.... a Roman bronze coin from the period of 250-350 AD. The detail in this coin is very strong... it is from the CONSTANTINE THE GREAT period of ancient Rome. Truly a historic piece and well over 1,700 years old!!
32. A Lewis and Clark Westward Journey Commemorative Bison (Buffalo) Nickel with a very colorful presentation holder:
33. A Lewis and Clark Westward Journey Commemorative Keelboat Nickel with a very colorful presentation holder:
34. A Lewis and Clark Westward Journey Commemorative Pacific Ocean in View Nickel with another colorful presentation holder:
35. A Lewis and Clark Return to Monticello Commemorative Nickel in another colorful presentation holder:
36. Here is a great coin from the Buffalo nickel series from 1913 to 1938. The front of the coin shows an American Indian, while the back of the coin shows the buffalo standing. A classic American design....and a great coin to add to this large collection
37. The next coin is a SILVER DOLLAR from the Bicentennial...... 1976-Denver. It was a one year issue design. The date is a dual date... 1776-1976. There is no silver content in the coin, it is the copper-nickel-clad issue: It is a very nice piece to have:
38. During the year 1943 there were heavy shortages of all kinds of consumer and manufacturing goods in the United States. The country was at war with Germany and Japan!! All of the copper was being used for making armaments like bombs and bullets. So the United States mint had to start using steel in the production of pennies. Hence we have here one of the historic coins ....... a 1943 steel cent. It is a really nice looking piece...
39. Here is an unusual collectibe.....??? It truly is rare though.... one of the most rare elements on the earth is diamond.... and here is a small diamond in its hold protective
holder.... it is uncut and unpolished..... just as it is found in nature..... a special piece and it comes with this group...
40. Here is a set of two coins.... the last year of one design and the first year of another design.... The 1958 wheat cent, and the 1959 Lincoln Memorial Reverse cent.... both coins are very popular as the last year and first year of issue for the penny:
41. Here is a penny dated from the Great Depression Era of the 1930's..... it comes with the holder as shown and is a very historic piece...
42. Here is another penny dated from the 1930's... this coin and holder honors the Great American Pasttime...... Baseball....
43. A very nice GOLDEN DOLLAR dated 2000-P from the Philadelphia mint, or 2000-D from the Denver Mint. Not many coins will grade a full GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED, and this is very rare because of the high condition.... All the detail is there and it is bright and shiny new!!
44. A SLABBED Widow's Mite bronze coin. This is an authentic coin from the time of Jesus. The coin was made by Jewish High Priests and some of the Procurators. This coin is mentioned in the bible, and the story is described on the packaging for you. It is almost exactly 2000 years old. An historic and educational coin all rolled into one.
45. Here is the very first year of the Lincoln Memorial Reverse Cent in Brilliant Uncirculated condition..... the first year ofthis coin was 1959....
46. Here is a great coin.... the Statehood Quarter series coin from North Dakota..... it shows some bison grazing on the back of the coin.
47. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas Texas in November of 1963. This coin is from the same year and comes with a historic presentaion holder showing a scene from that fateful day in Dallas....
48. Here is a very cool coin..... an early nickel... from the v-nickel series started in t1883 and ending in 1913. A really old looking design.....
49-50. The last two coins come as a set...... both are early Lincoln pennies... one dated in the TEENS, and the other dated in the TWENTIES....
51. Okay.... one more "last coin" in this amazing group.... another authentic and historic Constantine The Great Era Bronze Nummis..... from approximately 330 AD.
Truly a museum piece and a nice final coin to round out this impressive collection:
