New Mint
Six Superb Additions to Any Collection!
Histories Included!

Theses bills are new and ship in the original manufacturer’s package.
They include the following.

City Trust & Banking Co. 2 dollars 1839
Indian and the ship in the harbor, and also the detailed engraving to prevent counterfeiting.

Atlantic Bank 5 dollars 1859
Portrait of Henry Clay on this and many other notes reflect his great popularity. This note was secured by pledge of public stocks and was registered with the bank department.

New York State 10 dollars 1776
One of the first issued by the State of New York.

Clinton Bank 100 dollars 1839
Note honors the name of an illustrious New York family. On the left is portrayed the famous statue of George Washington, attired in the robe of a Roman Senator, done by Canova of Italy. The note was payable in six months at 5% interest, secured by pledge of real estate.

City of Albany 10 cents 1862
This scrip was issued by the City of Albany because of shortage of coin during the Civil War.

Bulls Head Bank 3 dollars 1864
This note is reminiscent of the time when business places were known by the object portrayed on the sign hung at the front of the building. Illustrations of cattle on many bills reflect the importance of the cattle industry at the time. After 1865 the state bank notes were forced out of circulation by a ten per cent tax so as to expedite National Bank notes

New York Loan Co. 10 dollars 1838
An example of a different type of institution that enjoyed the note-issuing and banking privileges of typical banks of issue. Railroads, Canals and other types of business often obtained such privileges. Notice that this note was payable in one year with interest at 2½%.
