Eases symptoms of Season Affective Disorder (SAD) just like it's larger version, model 2400. 

 

What is SAD?

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a pattern of seasonal depression experienced by otherwise healthy and happy people. Typically, fall and winter bring “down” feelings not explained by day to day experiences. It is estimated that as many as 20-30% of the population living at latitudes in the northern sections of the US may experience at least some SAD symptoms.

The Medlight II also delivers 10,000 lux (at 6") of full spectrum light and can be as effective as larger units costing twice as much or more.  Because of lesser light output, the Medlight II must be used at closer range or for longer periods of time. However, the results will be the same - reduces the symptoms of SAD - excessive sleep, social withdrawal, weight loss, and melancholic depression.

The Medlight II is made in the USA with the same quality craftsmanship as it's larger version, Model 2400.  It is all metal and comes equipped with a U.V. shield, rubber feet and on/off switch.   The size is only 10 1/2" x 9 1/2" x 3 1/4" and weighs only 7 lbs.
