This lovely British / Scottish Sword Saber is now in near relic condition due to heavy battle fatigue and dates from the French Napoleonic Era. It is mounted with a pronounced curved blade that measures 29 7/8 inches in length. The blade has richly patined, however most of the original beautiful engraving is still clearly visible as well as much of the gold inlay along with traces of the original blue. The leather wrapped grip shows wear next to the pommel but does remain healthy with the twisted wire wrap tightly in place. Only the quillion of the guard remains nevertheless, the beautiful raised high relief thistle designed languets and lion's claw pommel are present. Overall measuring 34 7/8 inches in length. There is no scabbard. There is no reserve. (please note other items shown as props are not included in this auction)
