This is a lovely example of a French "Sapeurs Pompiers" Gorget which dates from the late 19th Century and has survived in wonderful, original condition. The body is constructed of gilded brass and is enhanced with a beautiful silver emblem that is mounted front center and has now deeply blued with age. Overall measuring 5 inches across. (please note other items shown as props are not included in this auction)
