This is a hand painted Nippon sectioned server with it's own hand painted case. It features a beautiful bamboo and bird design in heavy gold with the case hand painted to match. The center bowl is missing leaving the four side bowls in excellent condition. The case shows it's age with the banding on the lid separating and the base peeling off some of the outer red layer. The sections are marked "Hand Painted Nippon Made in Japan." The case is marked "Made in Japan" on the bottom. Nice item for that Nippon collector. It measures 9 1/2" across as it sits in the case.
