I AM SO PLEASED TO OFFER THIS CIRCA 1800 STELLAR MINIATURE PORTRAIT OF A VERY HANDSOME SEA CAPTAIN ON EARLY PRE BANNED IVORY.  PLEASE LOOK CLOSELY AT ALL THE PIC'S. THE DETAILS ARE INCREDIBLE, THE PAINT RETENTION AMAZING, THE CONDITION FANTASTIC.  AND LOOK AT THE BACK.  IT HOLDS A VERY INTACT PIECE OF THIS GENTLEMAN'S HAIR WHICH YOU CAN SEE IN GREAT DETAIL.  TOOK PHOTOS OF THE BACK FROM MANY ANGLES SO YOU CAN SEE THE GORGEOUS DEEP COBALT BLUE GLASS IT IS HOUSED IN.  THERE IS A STABLE CRACK AT THE BOTTOM WHICH YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTOS.  THAT IS THE ONLY APOLOGY TO THIS PIECE.  THIS PAINTING MUST HAVE BEEN DONE BY A MASTER PORTRAITIST.  HIS GAZE JUST DRAWS YOU IN.
