During the past 46 years, he produced the largest fan conventions held in the Southwest – Houstoncons/ Star Trek ’69, ’71, ’73, ’74 & ’75;  published The Film Collector’s Registry from 1973-77 – one of the most widely read  film/adzines of the 1970s – and Trek: The Magazine for Star Trek fans; was Vice-President and, later, President of the Hollywood-based Nostalgia Merchant , one of the pioneering home video labels which owned exclusive video licenses to over 1200 film classics including King Kong, Citizen Kane, Gunga Din, The Quiet Man, the Hal Roach Laurel and Hardy films; worked with legendary music producer Snuff Garrett on the restoration on the Roy Rogers uncut B&W and Trucolor westerns; sponsored the 1984 Atlanta Film Caravan; and published the highly acclaimed book, Trigger Remembered by William Witney. Since 1984, he has operated Captain Bijou, a source of movie memorabilia, videos and DVDs, which Leonard Maltin described, as a “veritable mini-mall for the obsessed fan!” A member since 1997, Captain Bijou has successfully auctioned over 14,000 items on E-Bay.
