VIRGIN MARY SILVER MEDAL ON A WOOD HANGING WITH HOLY CUP

NOTRE-DAME DE BUGLOSE IN SOUTH WEST FRANCE WAS BELIEVED TO ACCOMPLISH MIRACLES BEFORE NOTRE-DAME DE LOURDES

The Santuary of Notre-Dame de Buglose, site of pilgrimage since 1622, is situated in the village of St.Vincent de Paul, great saint of the Landes, a county South of Bordeaux, France.

Notre-Dame de Buglose was a stone statue from the end of the 15th Century.  The Basilica was blessed and consecrated in 1855 and Pope Pie IX granted sainthood to Notre Dame de Buglose in 1866.  The real statue is made of stone and weights 400 kgs. 

In this silver medal, you have a representation of the staute with Notre-Dame de Buglose sittin on her throne and holding the baby Jesus.  She is wearing a crown and so is Jesus. The Virgin Mary is ravishing in this medal.  She is a great saint and as loved as Notre-Dame de Lourdes.

The wooden wall hanging is 5" high and 3 1/4" wide.  The medal is 1 3/4" in diameter.  The holy cup is not made of silver like the medal. 

This is a lovely item.
