Made of 100% high quality teak wood, which is naturally decay and rot resistant.  This immensely stable timber has high oil and rubber content, a "built-in" water repellent which makes it virtually immune to rotting.  It also naturally protects itself from insects, bacterial diseases, fungi, and forest fires.  Teak is unique in that it does not cause rust or corrosion when it comes in contact with metal.

Teak wood, if left bare and unsanded, will fade to a natural silver-gray color. This transformation does not in any way affect the durability of the furniture or the wood itself.  If you prefer to maintain the smooth finish and golden brown color, you will need to lightly sand the furniture occasionally, or apply teak oil.
