Report item108mg part slice of NWA 482 lunar meteorite, a 4.5 billion year old Very Rare Lunar Highlands Impact Melt Breccia (IMB). NWA 482 is one of the freshest lunar meteorites ever found. It has been compared to the Famous "Genesis" stone brought back on Apollo 15 because it is the only meteorite from the moon that is almost pure anorthosite from the original lunar crust. Geologists back on Earth drooled over the chance to study the Genesis stone because it represented unaltered material from the ancient lunar highlands. This meteorite has been featured in several publications including the Cambridge Encyclopedia of Meteorites. NWA482 is unique in so many ways, it would be hard to describe here on eBay. This incredible specimen comes with a color ID card from the Hupe Collection.
