While this bear was originally part of my store inventory, he has been in my personal collection, and on display, for over 20 years. So, while he is new with his tags and box, I can't really say he is "brand new."

• This bear is The Porridge Bear created by Dean's Childsplay Ltd. from the 1909 illustration by Jessie Wilcox Smith (1863-1935) entitled "The Epicure" from The Seven Ages of Childhood.
• The Porridge Bear was distributed in North America by Projects International, Chino, Ca. 91710
• This bear was manufactured in Great Britain by Dean's Childsplay Toys Ltd of Pontypool in the County of Gwent.
• This particular Porridge Bear is #534.
• He is made of Pure British Wool grown and manufactured in the United Kingdom.
• He is about 17 inches tall, but is about 12 inches when sitting.
• He is fully jointed.
• He has two hang tags, and his original box.
• He has a wonderful growler in him. Just gently tilt him...and he'll growl at you (For those of you who have never had a bear that growls, I must warn you that a bear growl sounds like a mooing cow!!)

This is a wonderful bear, but in my current home, I just don't have the space to display all my bears. He needs a home where he will be appreciated.

He is in excellent, like new, condition....maybe just a wee bit dusty!! 

I cannot ship him priority mail(His box is too big). I will ship him either UPS (which includes insurance) or parcel post. There will be a surcharge for UPS to AK, HI, and PR. I accept paypal and money orders.
