You are looking at a small Nymolle dish designed by Bjorn Wiinblad. Nymolle is a Danish ceramics company founded in 1936 to produce affordable ceramics. Nymolle employed talented ceramicists including Jacob Bang, Gunnar Nylund and Bjorn Wiinblad. Wiinblad joined the firm in 1946 and produced a variety of whimsical and imaginative designs. The dish up for auction depicts a whimsical figure holding a stylized bird. The design is in dark red and the background is a grayish-white. The dish is a 4.25" rounded corner square. The back side is signed 'Bjorn Wiinblad' and then marked 'NYMOLLE Denmark 3061/1243B.' The dish is in excellent condition and would be a great addition to any Scandinavian ceramics collection. Thank you for shopping and good luck! Shipping will be $3.00 within the U.S. Please contact me if you are interested in International shipping. |
