On June 18, 1815, Napoleon Bonaparte received a crushing military defeat on the fields near the Belgian village of Waterloo. Napoleon's defeat ended 23 years of recurrent warfare between France and the other powers of Europe. The battle between Napoleon's forces, which included 72,000 troops, and a combined Allied army of 113,000 British, Dutch, Belgian, and Prussian troops was fought so hard that either side might have won. A heavy rain the evening before the battle forced Napoleon to delay his attack. The delay cost him the battle.

This magnificent set represents the combatants at the famous battle. The French Army, led by the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and his love Josephine, is in conflict with the English Army, led by the Duke of Wellington and his wife Kitty Pakenham. Other pieces include French General Jean Kleber and British Sir William Congreve.

This is a NEW IN THE BOX SET. Features finely crafted HAND PAINTED coldcast resin figures. This is an EXTRA LARGE SET. The tallest pieces measure 4 1/2" tall.
