National Bitters, Ear of Corn Figural Bottle... No Reserve

We offer for auction this antique bottle, National Bitters, the "ear of corn" design.

This  figural bottle measures 12 1/4 inches tall with a base diameter of 2 3/4 inches. On the base, " PATENT 1867" is especially bold with a faint double strike "186" in the center. 

The color is graduated from a rich dark brown at the base to a lighter golden amber toward the top. We have attempted to photograph this in various light conditions for full effect.

This bottle is fresh from an estate.  We were told that it has been in the same family for more than a hundred years! No attempt was made by us to clean the bottle, you may see evidence of years of soil in the pictures.

We see no chips or cracks.  There is one tiny surface bubble that has broken about an inch up on the left side. There is also a small area on the left side touching the base which looks like a raised area of the glass. However the rib passes through it so it appears to be in the making.  We mention these two points not so much as flaws but in the interest of accuracy.

 Shipping will be $15.00 insured First Class Priority in the USA. Outside the USA please ask about shipping before bidding. We are happy to ship anywhere. We pack carefully, using a double box method for glassware,  and ship promptly.
