Native American Carved Stone Jar Small W/ Carved Bird

This came from an estate sale of a retired judge in Shakopee, Minnesota. Most of the things were high end and this was about the only thing I could afford. I was watching a episode of road show years ago and one like this was evaluated. I don't remember much about it but I believe they said it was made by Native Americans in the southwest somewhere. Somebody out there knows the who, what and where. There is a small chip out of the rim and the bird is a little beat up. I believe he should have a little beak and little of the top is missing (you can see defects in the pics). About 2 1/4" in diameter and 4 3/4" tall w/bird. Needs a good cleaning.
