Navajo Sunnyside Turquoise Necklace

Skilled Navajo craftsman, Phillip Sanchez, created this impressive pendant featuring a green turquoise Sunnyside Turquoise stone set in sterling silver.  Sunnyside Turquoise is from the Tuscarora mountain range located in the northeast part of Nevada.  This mine is no longer in operation which adds to the value of this stone.  In the 1970s, Sunnyside Turquoise was shipped to Arizona and New Mexico when Indian tribes began to use this stone in their jewelry.   Sunnyside Turquoise is known for its hardness, stunning color and golden brown spider web matrix patterns which adds interest to the stone.

  • Setting including the bale measures 1-5/8" by 1-1/16" at the widest point
  • Stone measures 1" X 3/4" at the widest point

The natural lines or fissures in the stone should not be mistaken as cracks.  The golden brown spider web matrix adds interest and character to the stone.  This stone is in its natural, intact form.
