| NdFeB Magnet, 3/4" X 3/8" X 3/8" RING#0021NdFeB (Neodymium Iron Boron) magnets are a relatively new invention, and are just now becoming affordable and available to the general public. These magnets are many times stronger (About 7 times) than the ceramic ferrite, and AlNiCo magnets most folks are accustomed to. We have specialized in the sale of new, and surplus NdFeB magnets on ebay, and on the web now for almost 4 years! For further information about our business, our ebay policies, and these magnets please visit our ABOUT ME page on ebay. These medium sized ring magnets are Nickel plated to help prevent chipping and corrosion. They are magnetized through the thickness, so the poles are on the round surfaces, North and South like Heads and Tails on a coin. These rings are N35 grade and should prove useful for a variety of experiments and applications

For further information about payment, shipping, and our ebay policies, please visit our About Me page here on Ebay! Be Careful! All magnets have certain risks and dangers associated with them. These NdFeB magnets are much stronger than magnets most folks are used to, so even a seemingly small magnet could be full of surprises! Small NdFeB magnet pose little risk, although one should be careful around electronics and magnetic storage medium. Larger ones should be treated with caution! Pinch Hazard: Larger magnets (NdFeB magnets larger than a quarter) are strong enough to pinch fairly hard should one get his/her fingers in between two of them, or between steel/iron and a magnet! They're Brittle!: These magnets are brittle. Should two magnets snap together hard, or snap onto a ferrous surface, they could break. Broken magnets can be sharp, and when they break sometimes shards could fly posing some risk to the eyes! Always handle the magnets (especially large ones) with a firm grip and careful attention! Electronics and magnetic storage medium: Magnetic fields can temporarily, or permanant damage certain electronic devices and magnetic storage medium. Keep them away from computers, computer monitors, cassette tapes, floppy disks, etc. Your magnets should be stored in a safe place, well away from electronics and out of reach from folks who don't know better! As a general rule, small magnets (smaller than a penny) should be kept at least 6" away. Larger magnets should be kept at least 12" away. Small magnets can be stacked to act like a larger magnet, so stacks of magnets should be treated with extra care. Health Risks: There are no known health risks to handling magnets EXCEPT: Certain pacemakers or any other electronic health devices could be affected. Don't handle magnets if you wear a pacemaker or any other electronic health device unless you get your doctors approval! Pregant women should probably avoid strong magnetic fields. Like any other potentually dangerous item or substance, these magnets are perfectly safe when treated with care and stored properly. Treat them with the same respect you would power tools, knives, ammunition, etc. Your magnets (unless they're small refrigerator magnets) should be kept in a safe place away from electronics and out of the reach of children. Properly stored and carefully handled, these magnets are perfectly safe and should last a lifetime! |
