The Looksha 17 composite was one of the hot boats beginning in the 90's. Its a sporty touring kayak with chines but not too grabby. Better for those more athletic in the mid size ranges. Its playful and turny but designed to cover
some distance.Cockpit is roomy and comfortable with built in thigh braces. Rudder system is simple, straightforward with little to go wrong. Largish hatches will take a big pot. This has been one of Necky's most popular
designs, its stability and volume allows paddlers to multiday while its lively, fun hull, and reasonable speed make for a good day boat.
MIKCo has used Necky sea kayaks in its fleet since the 1980's. Their overall durability and performance are solid. Maintenance is low to none. This particular boat has gel scratches as shown in the pics, but it has not had any breaks or structural repairs.
