Our goal has always been to keep shipping costs low. Our objective is to sell cards and other baseball hobby items - not make money by overcharging on shipping. We have a long-established policy of shipping any number of similar-size cards for one low price. If you purchase one regular size card, the shipping is $1.50; if you purchase 100 regular size cards, the shipping is $1.50. Likewise, shipping for one postcard is $1.75 and any number of postcards will ship for just $1.75.

To assist you in further reducing shipping charges, we ship any size order for the shipping charge of the single most expensive item's shipping charge. For example, if you buy 4 standard size cards ($1.50 shipping), 10 postcards ($1.75 shipping) and a set of 90 cards ($3.50 shipping for purposes of this illustration), you pay $3.50 shipping in total for all 15 items.

We sandwich all our cards between cardboard when we mail them to ensure they arrive in the condition they leave us. Our customers can count on receiving their orders safe and sound.

However, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has changed the very definition of what a letter is! USPS now takes into account weight, size, thickness and rigidity and it has substantially increased shipping charges. Under new USPS regulations, any size rigid envelope over 1/4" thick is now considered a package and is charged $1.13 for the first ounce! Clearly this is much more than the expected 2 cent increase for first class letters of one ounce.

• INSURANCE IS RECOMMENDED: We cannot be responsible for any loss or damage by the USPS. We do pack your order well (cardboard, bubblewrap, double-box, etc. as appropriate) but as eBayers ourselves we purchase and recommend you purchase insurance at least on more valuable items.

* - An exception would be when items cannot be shipped together, as in the case of books (usually shipped media rate) and cards (normally sent 1st class and priority mail).
