Up for bid is a vintage glass neon signfrom the famous Bob Mcdorman collection. In case your not familiar with Bob Mcdorman he is a car dealer just outside of Columbus, Ohio and he recently just sold the largest private collection of neon signs through Mecum auctions. This is one piece of his collection. Mr. McDorman also has one of the largest antique and classic car collections in the country. Anything from his collection is considered to be of the best quality. This neon sign is a glass tube sign that says  the Chalmers Motor Car Co. Detroit, MI. U.S.A. The sign is 26 inches across the front and 6 inches deep. It has 2 mounting brackets for easy hanging in your den or garage. The neon glass tubes are in perfect condition with no chips or flaking paint. The transformer is quiet and it has an on/off switch on the cord. This is a two color neon sign. The outer ring is green and the inner ring is yellow. The face of the sign is metal and is yellow lettering on a dark green background. The sign is in perfect working condition as can be seen in the pictures. There is no additional charge for crating as it was never removed from the crate it was brought home in. Shipping is exclusively by Greyhound Package Express as they are the only ones to guarantee safe shipping of neon. The cost is my cost which is $50.00.  GXP shipping requires the buyer to pick up the sign at their nearest GXP location which is probably in most major areas. Please contact your local Greyhound terminal before bidding. This is a rare and unique piece of automobilia and would make a superb X-mas gift for the auto enthusiast in your home. My reserve is low and is what I have invested in it. This is even cheaper than a lot of the new cheap neon signs that are not near the quality of this piece. This is the only neon piece that I have for sale and the only one of this quality and with this type of pedigree or provenance that I have seen on E-Bay so don't miss your chance on this sign and bid now.
