2010 Model Versus Older Models:

1.) New metal tabs

• In the second picture above you'll see a metal tab at the center of the plate just below the "U" shape.  These tabs used to be plastic and frequently broke.  The new 2010 models are 3 times stronger then the older models. (We know this because we used to sell the older version and the plates constantly had problems breaking and needed to be replaced)

2.) New aerodynamic handles

• The new aerodynamic handles are designed to provide a smoother lifting experience.  The older models were less aerodynamic and forced your wrists to move unnaturaly when lifting causing discomfort.   The new handles work seamlessly with your lifting motion and feel 100% natural.

3.) New enhanced plate technology

• If you've ever used an older model of selecttech dumbbell you'd know why this is so critical. Quite often when re-engaging the dumbbell back into the base the plates would not interlock smoothly.  You may have to fidget around for 3-5 seconds just getting the plate to drop back into the proper position.  With the new 2010 model this is no longer an issue.  The new plate technology ensures that the plates go back into the base smoothly each time.

Buyer Beware:  One of the first things a prospective buyer should consider when purchasing a Bowflex selecttech dumbbell is whether or not it is a genuine Bowflex product.  All of our bowflex dumbbells come with an authentic Bowflex factory serial number which can be validated by the manufacturer.  If a seller cannot make this guarantee then they most assuredly are selling counterfeit bowflex products and should be avoided at all costs.   Remember the old addage that if the price is too good to be true then IT IS!!
