Description:
BRAND NEW Dell 1505 Draft 802.11n Mini Wireless Card
The
Dell Draft internal wireless 1505 better then 1500 Draft 802.11n dual-band mini card
capable of giving up to five times the speed and twice the range of the
industry's widely used 802.11g Wi-Fi technology standard.
When connected to a wireless Draft 802.11n network router featuring Intensi-fiTM technology, the Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11n wireless card supports data rates up to 270 megabits per second (Mbps),
versus the maximum 54 Mbps with 802.11g wireless technology. The Dell
card is Wi-Fi certified to ensure backward compatibility with 802.11g,
802.11b and 802.11a wireless standards.
With
increased throughput and greater range, 802.11n wireless technology
easily manages challenging tasks that can bog down a wireless network,
such as multi-user, graphic-intensive gaming, high-definition video
streaming or transferring large data or multimedia files. Users can
also experience greater mobility, connecting to the wireless network in
areas that may have formerly been out of range, such as porches and
decks.
The
Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11n wireless card, features a
next-generation wireless technology based on the 1.0 draft of the IEEE
802.11n specification. Faster speeds and increased range are enabled by
a sophisticated antenna system that manages the transmission and
receipt of multiple simultaneous data streams (Multi-Input,
Multi-Output or MIMO).

Backward compatible to current standards plus more speed and range when using either 802.11b/g or Draft 802.11n wireless routers
What is Draft 802.11n and what does it offer?
802.11n is a next-generation wireless
standard that uses the transmission and receipt of multiple
simultaneous data streams (called MIMO for Multiple Input, Multiple
Output) to enable data throughput and range that far exceeds the
single-stream capabilities of today’s 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g
technologies.
The standards bodies that
define new wireless technologies have drafted a specification for
802.11n. This draft specification is what the Dell Wireless 1500 is
based on.
The Dell Wireless 1505 is also a dual-band card,
meaning it works in the 5 GHz 802.11a spectrum. This means more
available data channels, less interference and on average greater
throughput.
