The Samsung Jet S8000 is intended to be a very fast and more powerful phone with a 800 MHz processor. Samsung say that the Jet is the fastest full-touch device on the market, and that would be even faster than the 600 MHz Apple iPhone 3G S. The S8000 Jet looks fantastic, with a 3.1 inch touch screen, all wrapped up in a body measuring 108.8 mm (height) x 53.5 mm (width) x 11.9 mm and weighing just 110grams, which is light for a phone with these dimensions. Just beneath the screen is a modern looking button which accesses the S8000's main menu, and the only other 'real' keys on the Jet S 8000 are the call and call end buttons, and a camera-dedicated key. Colour-wise the Samsung jet S800 is available only in black with red plates down the sides.

The music player has some advanced features such as custom playlists, track filtering, and album art. Internal memory is a massive 2GB, but you can increase this further to 16GB by using a MicroSD card if you wanted to. Sound quality is superb and the music player is controlled via the intuitive touch screen.

The camera on the Samsung S8000 Jet has 5 mega pixels, an LED flash and auto focus. Samsung have also included some advanced camera features like smile detection (which takes a picture automatically when a person smiles), face detection (which automatically focuses on faces) and blink detection (which doesn't take a picture if someone blinks). These all add up to make a great camera. You are also able to shoot in fast motion and Samsung have included Geo-tagging, which tags pictures with the location at which they were taken. Picture quality is excellent.

Apart from the standard applications such as calendar, calculator and personal organiser the Samsung S8000 Jet gas GPS. Internet connection is also brilliant with 3G, WLAN, GPRS and EDGE.

In summary, the Samsung S8000 Jet is a brilliant phone that has a superb camera and music player, great large touch screen, and excellent internet connection.
